Platinum® is a soil applied insecticide containing the active ingredient thiamethoxam. The active ingredient is a second-generation neonicotinoid insecticide, belonging to the thianicotinyl subclass of chemistry and possessing unique chemical properties, which result in excellent control of many sucking and chewing pests. Platinum is used at very low rates and is highly systemic within plants. This movement results in part from the high water solubility, moderate soil absorption and low partition coefficient of thiamethoxam.

Platinum is not currently registered for use or sale in all states. Please check with your state or local extension service before buying or using this product.
